Almanac is a collective of professional multimedia artists specializing in nonfiction animation founded in 2019.  We use the moving image to traverse and engage with various discourses and disciplines including documentary, education, journalism, and social justice.  We work in both independent and commercial capacities while seeking radical alternatives to conventional media production models.  Our artists are internationally recognized for works incorporating a full range of animation and filmmaking practices including digital and traditional hand drawn, 3D, stop motion, and expanded cinema.

Almanac members have screened at venues including SXSW,

Ann Arbor Film Festival, Slamdance, Tribeca Film Festival, Annecy, Ottawa International Animation Festival, Dok Leipzig & Ars Electronica.

Our artists' animations have been featured by clients that include TED, United Nations, The New York Times, Zendesk, Samsung, Supercell, & MIT Media Lab.
